Gracie Combatives® is our beginner program for adults. In this program, you will learn the 36 core techniques of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in a fun, safe, and cooperative environment. The truth is, most physical altercations on the street follow a predictable pattern: one or both individuals charge at each other, several punches are exchanged, the fight goes to the ground, and the bigger stronger person usually wins. The problem is that if you are attacked by someone on the street, chances are THEY will be the bigger and stronger person.
Gracie Combatives® program teaches you how to minimize damage from a punching attacker, get the fight to the ground, exhaust the larger opponent, then finish the altercation with a choke or submission hold. The beauty of jiu jitsu is that it doesn’t require any special athletic ability to learn (anyone can do it!), and it works against an opponent regardless of their size. By focusing on the most common street fight scenarios, our curriculum brings together the most reliable and commonly used jiu jitsu techniques to teach you a practical system of self-defense at any age!
